Boxes of Hope

Horizon employees helped to give back to our community this month.

Based out of Lock Haven, Boxes of Hope is a non-profit organization that sends complimentary care packages to breast cancer patients. These packages are filled with a multitude of different things, such as activity books, personal care items, fun socks, jewelry, and handwritten notes.

Boxes of Hope’s goal is to be a positive light for those who are going through a very difficult time. Their organization’s name is an exact reflection of their mission, as their care boxes spread hope and encouragement to those actively battling breast cancer.

Horizon created shirts, which our staff could purchase and wear on national Wear it Pink Day. A total of $620 was raised from this initiative, and donated to Boxes of Hope.

To all breast cancer patients, we are humbled by your strength and resilience. Your bravery speaks volumes. We would like to thank Boxes of Hope for being a small, yet impactful reminder that you are never alone in this fight.
